Congo Square

Congo Square

Congo Square was the birthplace of the sounds and rhythms that defined American music. Without the momentary freedom on Sundays to play their music, we would not have the foundations for Jazz, Rhythm and Blues and Rock N’ Roll. This design is dedicated to those enslaved, the Native Americans and the Irish laborers who celebrated their heritage and home in song and dance and changed, not just New Orleans, but all of American culture.
